Snow Birds

In the Sierra Nevada mountains, some of the best known birds are the Stellers' Jays.
They can imitate other sounds, such as a hawk, and we have one in the neighborhood that we call the "Stellers Hawk"!
On this Spring day my wife pointed out to me that there were two pairs of jays in the fir tree,
cuddling up in the freshly fallen snow.
I made several exposures, and this one is the one that became the best seller!
